Can you describe your role and responsibilities?
— I am a Chief Medical Officer and my responsibilities include the executive leadership and strategic guidance for all medical aspects of clinical trials, in addition to oversight and management of the Medical Services Team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and ethical practices.
How has the company supported your growth and advancement?
— Aixial Group has been my home for over ten years, and I am very grateful for the people who work with me, challenge and support me. We share the same passion to bring the best treatment options or cure for patients suffering serious diseases. I have a privilege to attend numerous scientific conferences and congresses to learn about new investigational products and the most advance technologists on the regular basis, which is extremely beneficial for my career development.
What inspired you to pursue a career in clinical research?
— Clinical research was a logical step after twenty years of medical practice and I never regretted it. I am committed to make difference in the human life and contribute to the development of new treatment option or improve existing treatments for patients with rare diseases, cancers and other uncurable conditions.
As a manager, what values guide your approach to management?
— Honesty, transparency, integrity, resilience, adaptability, accountability and respect are the critical values that make a respected manager. I lead by example and take pride in the great achievements my team makes every day. I believe that the positive work environment in addition to appropriate training and encouragement of self-education are important parts of the success.
What advice would you give to young women looking to enter the CRO or STEM industries?
— Do what you love, and your career path will be successful. Clinical research, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics industries are very challenging but rewarding. I enjoy every day of my life and wish you to find your passion in these rewarding fields.
